Freelancer support / behind the scenes

Extra development capacity, without giving up the client relationship.

I'm Ian, a web developer who helps freelancers and small teams handle technical overflow while they stay in control of the client relationship.

Send me one task
01Why I am doing this

Extra capacity for you. Real freelance context for me.

I've built web applications, but I want closer exposure to how freelance development actually works day to day—the requests clients send, recurring problems, changing priorities, deadlines, and handoffs.

Rather than trying to understand that from the outside, I'm offering some of my development capacity to freelancers already doing the work.

You get another developer who can help move technical tasks forward. I get real exposure to freelance workflows and the opportunity to earn your trust one task at a time.

02What I can handle

Small, concrete tasks that unblock delivery.

Delegate a contained piece of work rather than an entire client engagement.

Laravel & PHP
React & TypeScript
APIs & integrations
PostgreSQL & databases
Bug fixes
Responsive fixes
Deployments
Technical handoffs
01

Track down and fix a bug

02

Build or repair an API endpoint

03

Finish a React screen or interaction

04

Repair a layout on mobile devices

05

Optimize a query or database workflow

06

Integrate a service or help with deployment

03How it works

Your client stays yours. The delegated task moves forward.

  1. 01

    You keep the client

The relationship, communication, and final delivery stay yours. I work as your development support on the task you have delegated.

  2. 02

    Share one scoped task

Send the context, acceptance criteria, relevant access you are authorized to share, and the deadline you are working toward.

  3. 03

I work in your existing workflow

I implement the scoped task, test the changed behavior, and provide progress updates using the tools and development workflow already used by the project.

  4. 04

    You review and deliver

You receive the code, verification notes, and a clear handoff so you can confidently take it back to your client.

Your project stays yours.

I only work on the task and access you explicitly provide, and you remain responsible for the final client delivery.

04Selected work

A focused look at relevant systems I have shipped.

These projects are selected from the ShipWithIan project library.

05Working details

Clear expectations before the first commit.

Availability

I take a limited number of support tasks each week, work in Philippine time, and reply to new requests within one business day. Updates stay asynchronous through email and the tools your project already uses.

Core stack

Laravel, PHP, React, TypeScript, Inertia, Tailwind CSS, PostgreSQL, REST APIs, Git, and practical cloud deployment workflows.

One task is enough to start

Have something sitting in your backlog?

Send me one contained task, the stack, what “done” looks like, and your deadline. I'll let you know if it's a good fit for the two-hour trial.
