Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 24, 2026

This policy explains how Ian Labicani handles personal information through the Ship with Ian website, invited accounts, public forms, and optional chat.

Information you provide and why

Booking a call asks for your name, email address, and time zone, with an optional company, service, and topic. These details are sent to Cal.com, which schedules the call and sends the calendar invitation. Quote requests also ask for your service selection, project problem, and desired outcome, with optional project name, website, essential features, timing, and budget. I use these details to review the request and recommend scope and pricing. Collaborator applications may include your name, email address, role, message, and optional project links so I can review the application and contact you about possible collaboration.

A signed trial-task intake may include a task title, stack, description, acceptance criteria, target date, links, dependencies, and additional context. I use that information to assess and manage the requested task. Only share information you are authorized to provide.

Invited account users provide account and profile details, such as a name and email address. Account, access, and session information is used to authenticate users, provide collaboration features, and protect the application.

Storage and service providers

Contact messages, quote requests, job applications, trial-task submissions, and account records are stored in the application database. Public form submissions may also be sent through the configured email delivery service to notify me so I can respond or review them.

The site depends on providers that host and operate its application, database, and email delivery. Those providers process information as needed to provide their services.

Optional site chat

When public chat is enabled and you use it, the current message and up to six recent messages in that conversation are sent from the site server to TypeSafe’s API to generate a reply. The site does not save a chat transcript in its application database. TypeSafe’s handling of information sent to its API is described in its Privacy Policy. Avoid entering sensitive personal or client information in chat.

Sessions, cookies, and technical information

The website and app use session cookies to keep pages and invited accounts working. Preference cookies can remember settings such as appearance and sidebar state. The application may process network and session information, including IP address and request times, to maintain sessions, support basic site features, and protect the service.

The connection-footprint endpoint can return the IP address and approximate location information supplied by the request proxy to the browser that requested it. The endpoint’s application code does not save that returned location in the application database.

How long information is kept

Contact messages, quote requests, job applications, and trial-task submissions are kept while they are needed to respond, manage an ongoing collaboration, or maintain relevant business records or legal claims. Administrators remove these submissions manually when they are no longer needed; the application does not automatically expire them. Account records are kept while needed to provide and secure access and support ongoing work or legal obligations. Administrators remove account records manually when access is no longer needed. Session data follows the app’s normal session lifecycle.

Your privacy choices and rights

Depending on the law and circumstances, you may ask to be informed about, access, correct, object to, or request removal or blocking of personal information about you. You may also have data portability and complaint rights, and a right to damages in certain circumstances, under applicable law. Requests can be made through the site contact page. I may need to verify your identity and may retain information where the law or a legitimate business record requires it.

More information about rights under Philippine privacy law is available from the National Privacy Commission’s data subject rights guide.

Security and updates

I use access controls and technical safeguards appropriate to operate the site and app. No online service or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure. If the information practices change, this page will be updated with a new date.
