AfterYou
AfterYou is a mobile app that helps people stay connected through one thoughtful question a day. Members answer privately in shared Spaces, then unlock each other’s responses once everyone has answered.
Outcome
Created a simple daily ritual for couples, families, and friends to connect through thoughtful questions and private, shared answers.
Problem
Busy routines can leave little room for meaningful conversations. Starting those conversations takes effort, and seeing someone else’s answer first can influence what a person shares. The challenge was to make regular connection feel easy while giving everyone space to respond honestly.
Solution
Built a Flutter mobile app backed by a Laravel API, with private Spaces for couples, families, and close friends. Each Space receives a daily question, and answers remain hidden until every eligible participant responds. Shared history lets members revisit past conversations, while the Question Jar allows them to contribute their own prompts. Invitations and push notifications help members participate, and questions follow each Space’s local timezone.
